Mosaic art is a compilation of ideas, creativity, patience, skill, and passion. Each project evolves into what it is meant to be. No two pieces are ever the same—the art lies in the beauty of uniqueness. I create mosaic art primarily with hand-cut pieces of glass. Each piece is given the space it needs to fit within the final design and is handled multiple times before being set into place. Together, they make the mosaic whole, complete, and beautiful.

        My journey as a mosaic artist began decades ago with a stained-glass class I attended in the mountains of Western Maryland. Through additional classes and workshops focused specifically on mosaic design, I was able to branch out and weave projects into everyday life. As a mother of school-aged children, I facilitated art projects with students. As an interior designer, I collaborated with contractors and architects to incorporate custom backsplashes and artwork into clients’ residential and commercial spaces. As a life coach, I helped clients identify pieces of themselves and discover where they best fit—revealing the image of their mosaic self.

        I am passionate about encouraging creativity and believe we all have the ability to connect with and appreciate art in our own ways. Mosaic art allows me to work with a myriad of people, materials, and ideas—creating pieces of peace.
